Understanding the scientific-based evidence is vital behind what we are told is ‘good’ for us.

Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to do the research so I’m grateful Jules is doing all the hard work for the rest of us.

Thanks, Jules!

You may be wondering why trust my expertise

Because I’m not just another ordinary health practitioner. I am a dedicated health coach with decades of experience in healthcare and I have walked the same path as you. My family has an increased risk of losing memory through Alzheimer’s disease. So, I’ve spent years in Alzheimer’s research and understanding how to know our risk for memory loss.

I have a first-class degree in molecular genetics from King’s College London and am a board-certified  health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition In New York. I too once wondered whether I, or one of my family, would be one of the millions of people each year who suffer from memory loss. I didn’t want to be on that path, particularly knowing the science has made enormous steps forward in recent years.

Through my personal journey, I have discovered invaluable insights and strategies to help others achieve lasting wealth in health. I’m here to support you on your memory-protection journey.

FAQ

You will learn about how your body is built to optimize your brain health.  These results are personal to you, as your DNA is unlike anyone else’s.

You may well be the first person in your family to access this valuable information, as these direct-to-consumer, genetic tests have only become available in recent years; particularly how your genes relate to important areas of your metabolism that affect your brain health. Genes covered include ApoE, which increases the risk for Alzheimer’s disease. There are significant lifestyle changes that will reduce your risk if you know your genes and take action as a result.

Please contact hello@juleswalters.com if you’d like a full list of the genes tested.

No.  My Boost Brain Health  is not covered by health insurance.  Education programs and genetic testing aren’t usually covered by insurance.

Yes, you may be able to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for some or all of the program. You’ll need a letter from your doctor or healthcare professional that outlines how the program will prevent disease and qualify as a medical expense.

It is worth speaking to the company that manages your HSA for more details, as the terms of HSAs can vary.

The genes tested for Boost Brain Health are not disease-causing genes.

Instead, we test for genetic differences that affect your metabolism, particularly brain health.  These genes do influence your longevity and health.  Knowing your genetic profile can help you to make relevant, lifestyle choices based on knowing your genetics.

There is one variant of a gene tested that increases the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease later in life. That gene is called ApoE and is involved in cholesterol transport. However, there are lifestyle interventions through nutrition and exercise that will reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s if you carry the ApoE variant.

No, unfortunately the program is only available to people who live in the US at this time. We hope to expand to other countries soon.

In the United States, it is against the law to discriminate based on genetic information. The Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA) was passed in 2008 and extended in 2009 to prevent employers and insurance, using information from direct-to-consumer genetic tests to deny health insurance or charge higher premiums. You can read more about GINA here.

We do not pass your information to any third-party, nor does our partner in genetic testing 3X4 Genetics. You can read more about 3X4’s secure data policies here.
