Aug 15, 2025: Anti-oxidants, and the power of saunas

Welcome to this week’s edition of Boost Brain Health, sharing two healthy habits and one lesson.
Two Brain Health Habits
Eat fruits high in anti-oxidants. Blueberries, strawberries and cranberries are packed with anti-oxidants, which are great for brain health.
They soak up free radical molecules that are damaging to tissues. So, berry up!
The power of saunas. Sweating is one of the easiest ways we can detox. The heat from saunas raises our body temperature, encouraging our body to sweat and ridding it of heavy metals and metabolic debris along the way.
And there’s no need to go to the gym. You can now get a sauna in a box, to set up at home.
One Lesson
Want to slow down biological aging? One of the lessons of biology is that we’re not all aging at the same rate. Some of us have learned how to slow down the hallmarks of aging, either by accident or by design.
The latest research shows that vitamin D (2,000 IU per day), and/or omega 3 (1g per day), and/or a home exercise program slowed down biological aging in over 770 people over three years.
You can check out the research here.
