August 9, 2024 – Repair time, fat shaming and doubt
Each Friday, I’m sharing two nano health habits, a lesson and an inspirational quote, to ponder on your health journey.
No one’s yet discovered the elixir of youth. There is no one fix for a longer, healthier life. What we do have, though, are nano or micro habits that together make all the difference.
Two Nano Health Habits
Timing: An easy way to give our bodies time to repair is to stop eating for 12-16 hours a day, say from 7pm to 11am. Play around with a fasting window that works for you.
No age limit on strength: There is no age limit on strength. Watch 90-year-olds do full-body pull ups on YouTube.
One Lesson
Fat shaming: Mama Cass was a wonderful singer with the Mamas & Papas, who died in the 1970s while on tour in London aged 32. She’d struggled with her weight for some time.
A false rumor was started that she’d died from choking on a ham sandwich. She actually died from a heart attack. Fat shaming is nothing new.
