Happy Friday! Each week, I’m sharing two nano health habits, a lesson, and an inspirational quote to ponder on your health journey.
No one’s yet discovered the elixir of youth. There is no one fix for a longer, healthier life. What we do have, though, are nano or micro habits that together make all the difference.
Two Nano Health Habits
Practice kindness: Being kind to others also helps us to be kind to ourselves. Kindness is a kind of resilience.
Everyone alive today has shown resilience to survive. But we have no idea what others have gone through to get here.
Less can become more: You may have heard the word detox or cleanse when it comes to health. Both come down to one word: elimination. It can mean simply swapping out one ingredient for another.
Common food that can cause problems are milk, wheat, soy, eggs, nuts, shellfish, and sesame.
One Lesson
Some foods are more ultra-processed than others. A new survey in Nature Food has ranked 50,000 foods sold by major grocery stores in the US.
Cookies, cakes, rolls and muffins head the list of the most processed foods. The rule of thumb is to stick to the outside aisles of a grocery store where we’ll find the fruit & vegetables, fish, meat and dairy.
