July 4, 2025: Eating windows before bed & a toxic bathroom clear out

Empty bowl

Welcome to this week’s edition of Boost Brain Health, sharing two healthy habits and one lesson.

Two Brain Health Habits

Stop the calories three hours before bed. Eating late can disrupt our body’s natural rhythm of eating and then fasting overnight.

Giving our digestive system time to align with our brain’s sleep cycle leads to a better night’s sleep.

Do a bathroom cleanse. Download the Think Dirty app and find out how many toxic products are in your bathroom.

The app enables you to scan products for a rating on over two million products

One Lesson

Cognitive decline is not inevitable, even past the grand old age of 100.

A new study looked at the brains from 95 people in the Dutch 100-plus study.

More than half (56%) had low levels of amyloid plaques, a key signature of Alzheimer’s, and 9% had none.

You can read the results in JAMA Neurology.
